Background
Wes was born and raised in Hawaii, and at age 10, started formally playing music. He gradually moved from woodwinds to brass to percussion and to guitar. He writes songs in many different styles: ballads, folk, country, blues, rock, reggae, jazz... but the common thread is that it expresses his heart. "Playing in bands and solo, live from coast to coast was a lot of fun", he said, "but playing live worshipful music that ushers people into the presence of God is by far the most fulfilling, whether it be slow and majestic, or jammin'-hot".
Vision
I see these scriptures as "handles" that those of us who sometimes find ourselves upside down, or flying sideways through life, can grab onto for stability and a sense of groundedness. The music can either excite or soothe the soul while the scripture ministers to the deep places of your spirit. This is the purpose for these songs, to bring peace, joy, healing, and hope into the lives of all who will drink in what God promises to us in His Word.
