| After listening to “Peace I give to you” or “My grace is sufficient for you”, or maybe something else has triggered a longing in your heart to know who God is, you might ask, “how can someone like me have a personal relationship with the God of the universe?”
Becoming a believer in Jesus is quite simple. He made it simple on purpose so that many could come into His family. Let me share some simple steps with you so that you can make a solid decision:
1- God loves you so much that He Himself came and paid your way into heaven.
2- The price He paid to buy us back, because of sin, was Jesus’ death, even though He was innocent.
3- The sacrifice of His life resulted in His resurrection from the dead, because He had not committed any crime(sin).
4- So, if we believe in our Heart that Jesus died to pay for our guilt, and we confess with our lips that God raised Him from the dead, that is how you begin a relationship with God. Here is a simple prayer that, if prayed sincerely, will get your name into God’s book of life, and start your relationship with Him:
Dear God,
I confess that I am a sinner, and I believe that Jesus shed His precious blood to pay for my sins. I also believe in my heart that Jesus rose from the dead to overcome death for us all. Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart to be the Lord and Savior of every area of my life, and I will be a willing worshipper all the days of my life. Amen
If you were sincere in saying this prayer, Welcome to the Family!! The scripture says that all the angels in heaven rejoice when one is rescued from eternal death as you have just been. We have a huge family full of imperfect people who have been redeemed by an incredibly loving Father God.
If you have a Bible, start reading “John” in the New Testament, it will help you to understand a little more about your new life in Christ. The Bible is God’s manual on how to live life. Most questions about life can be found here, so dig in.
Also, try to find a group of people that study and live by the truths of the Bible.
Lastly, could you send us an email and tell us your story? wes@wesmichael.com
May God richly bless you.
